What factor will ultimately result in chronic water shortages?

Chronic water shortages are significantly influenced by the unchecked population size in a region. As the population grows, the demand for water increases across various needs, including residential, agricultural, and industrial uses. If population growth outpaces the available water resources, this imbalance leads to a chronic scarcity of water.

Additionally, when a population expands without corresponding measures to manage or enhance water supply, such as sustainable water practices, infrastructure development, or effective policies, the strain on existing water resources intensifies.
